Date: Jul 31, 2026 Day: Friday
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for NEET UG 2026 candidates to submit or update their bank account details for examination fee refund. Candidates who have not completed the refund verification process can now update their banking information until 31 July 2026 (11:50 PM).
The decision has been taken to provide an additional opportunity to eligible candidates so that they can receive their NEET UG 2026 examination fee refund without facing unnecessary delays.
Earlier, NTA had provided a facility for candidates to submit their bank account details for processing the refund. However, many students were unable to complete the process within the given timeline.
To ensure that all eligible candidates get the opportunity to receive their refund, NTA extended the deadline until 31 July 2026, 11:50 PM.
The extension allows candidates to:
Submit pending bank details
Correct previously entered information
Verify account details
Complete the refund process
The refund process was initiated after changes in the NEET UG 2026 examination schedule. Candidates eligible for the refund are required to provide accurate bank account details so that the amount can be transferred successfully.
NTA has been processing refunds for candidates who have already completed their bank verification process.
According to NTA updates, a large number of candidates had already submitted their bank account details before the extended deadline. The agency started processing refunds for candidates whose information was successfully verified.
However, candidates who failed to update their details earlier were advised to complete the process before the revised deadline.
Candidates who need to submit or update their bank details can follow these steps:
Visit the official NEET UG website.
Login using registered credentials.
Open the fee refund bank details update facility.
Enter correct bank information.
Verify details carefully before submission.
Save the confirmation page for future reference.
Students should ensure that details such as account number and IFSC code are entered correctly to avoid refund-related issues.
Providing accurate bank details is important because incorrect information may result in delays in receiving the refund amount.
Candidates should carefully check:
Account holder name
Bank account number
IFSC code
Bank name details
Once submitted, candidates should keep a record of the confirmation details.
NTA has advised students to complete the refund process only through the official NEET portal. Candidates should avoid sharing banking information with unofficial sources or third parties.
Students should:
Use only official websites.
Verify all details before submission.
Avoid clicking on suspicious refund-related links.
Keep confirmation records safely.
Candidates who successfully complete the bank details update process will be considered for refund processing as per NTA procedures.
Students are advised to regularly check their bank accounts after completing verification and keep their registered contact details active for official communication.
The NTA extension of the NEET UG 2026 fee refund bank details update facility till July 31 provides additional relief to candidates who could not complete the refund verification process earlier.
Eligible students should complete their bank details submission within the revised deadline and ensure that all information is accurate to avoid delays. Candidates are advised to rely only on official NTA updates for refund-related information.
